In game pet party idea

I was reading some stuff on a website the other day that I thought was an interesting idea. Basically we could have an in game pet party in a specific location of the World where everyone can come hang out for like an hour or so. This would allow for anyone who is interested to come meet other players, show off your pets and or items, and share some stories. I think it is a good idea for many reasons but I would like to know what you guys think about this idea.
