Being presented with options and having to make decisions is an essential part of life. Like many other things in life, options come and go, but the choices remain because the choices that we make are a critical part of what makes each one of us unique regardless of the options that may be presented.

With the Request System in a usable state as part of the new Unity3D client, the next step was to ensure that the same functionality can be used with a Gamepad. Implementing gamepad support is often challenging for implementation, but it is no different from any other system broken down into its core logical, mechanical components. Gamepad support has been partially implemented using the currently active player character Avatar facing direction to interact with objects directly in front of the player.

There is something about a chat bubble within a multi-player game that gives a specific type of charm to the conversation. It shows at a glance who the individual is talking to, where the message's source is, and in a way, the atmosphere of the conversation. This type of logic will be expanded on in the future without providing any spoilers. But what will be said is that it will allow for easy communication. The player Chat Bubble has been implemented similar to the Flash client, pending some future modifications that are on the roadmap.

Like all games, the model's visual appearance, regardless of whether it is a non-player character( NPC ) or a player-controlled character or pet, is important. This is one of the challenges within this project that the solution will be created gradually over time to meet the requirements of a wide variety of use case scenarios. At this time, the Guardian NPC has been brought in from the old Flash client to be used as a placeholder and for building out another piece of functionality for the stage character models.

Here is another early character design artwork. These characters are not easy to make and usually go through multiple revisions to get to this point. In the future, these will continue to go through revisions until they become a finalized character that will be added to the game.

We are roughly a week away from the 11th CSK anniversary on June/07/2021, which marks the day when the game server officially went online. It has been an interesting journey and one we will continue to walk forward with together.
