You guys really should not argue about such a small thing and blow it out of proportion. You are both at fault for telling each other to shut up but SpongeTeddyBear you did start the argument, you really should be more respectful of other people even if you are having a bad day. Mehmeh, you should not engage in an argument that someone else starts, there is absolutely nothing to gain from this kind of action.

I would recommend that you both apologize to each other and move on but what you do next is your choice, just remember that 2 wrongs don't make a right as the saying goes.
