why dosent pvp work

well when you click your pet it says PVP and
I click it but it dosent work and when ever i click other peoples pets
it says CHALLENGE i click challenge nothing happens
I think its because im not member but if any one knows the reason pls tell people right here

if you dont know what pvp means, its player v player

In most situations pvp does stand for player versus player but in this specific case it stands for pet versus pet.
